Prerequisites

Before installing and using CoreFX, please ensure your system meets these requirements.

Mixing CoreFX with other graphics mods is not recommended and can potentially break your game. Please note that ENBSeries is no longer supported by its developer or by CoreFX. By using CoreFX you automatically agree with these rules.

Legacy Hardware Requirements

  • Minimum: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 or AMD Radeon RX 580
  • Recommended: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 or AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT

Enhanced Hardware Requirements

  • Ray Tracing Minimum: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 or AMD Radeon RX 6600
  • Ray Tracing Recommended: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Ti or AMD Radeon RX 7700 XT

Software

  • Base Game: A legitimate copy of Grand Theft Auto V.
  • OpenIV.asi (Legacy Singleplayer): Required to load mods from the "mods" folder. Comes with the OpenIV app, can be installed inside OpenIV > ASI Manager.
  • OpenRPF.asi (Enhanced Singleplayer): Required to load mods from the "mods" folder. (Download from GTA5-Mods)
  • ScriptHookV & Asi Loader (Legacy & Enhanced Singleplayer): Necessary for proper script loading. (Download from dev-c.com). Legacy ASI Loader is dinput8.dll, Enhanced ASI Loader is xinput1_4.dll.

Optional

  • FiveM or RageMP (Multiplayer): CoreFX supports multiplayer platforms.
  • Graphics Driver Updates: Keep your GPU drivers up to date.

? Frequency Asked Questions

I don't like blur when moving camera (motion blur). How can I disable it?
For Legacy builds, you can toggle it off via the RenoDX Shader Loader menu. For Enhanced builds, simply disable it in your GTA 5 graphics settings. For FiveM ServerSide, motion blur is disabled by default.
Can I use other mods with CoreFX?
It is possible, but not all mods are compatible. Mods that significantly alter the visuals of the game (like other graphics enhancers or weather overhauls) may conflict with CoreFX. Texture replacement mods are generally safer to combine.
Is CoreFX compatible with Singleplayer and multiplayer platforms like FiveM or RageMP?
Yes. However, installation steps differ for each platform — please refer to the Installation section for detailed instructions.

What are the SE Addons and why should I consider them?
SE Addons are extra add-ons available for Patreon supporters. This package contains WIP shaders for Legacy builds of the game (currently) such as Volumetric Clouds and SSGI. Purchasing these add-ons supports future development.
In Rockstar Editor, my recorded clips show a blurred screen when moving. What causes this?
This is caused by in-game motion blur. For Legacy builds, disable it via the RenoDX Shader Loader menu. For Enhanced builds, turn off motion blur in GTA 5 graphics settings. Important: You must record new clips after disabling it; previously recorded clips will remain blurred.
Does CoreFX run on FiveM servers with Pure Mode enabled?
Pure Mode restricts custom client modifications. Currently, CoreFX does not have permission to run under enforced Pure Mode.
